THE TIGER OF KANAKAPURA 
The Tiger of Kanakapura! D K Shivakumar, at his very young age, participated against senior-most politicians and lost with negligible votes. Yet, his confidence didn't shutter and rather he was re-elected in the same consistency with a large voting difference.
D K Shivakumar then won continuously six-time as MLA and is still serving! He is a man of a firefighter in the congress party.
D K Shivakumar served his constituency with full focus and served the people irrespective of any caste, creed or religion. This made him gain love from all religions.
He facilitated the Kanakapura people with all the basic needs that they need. Loans for people to build houses, school children with different schemes that promote them to study and perform well, gave them chance to experience all the things that private schools provide like education trips, 24/7 electricity, new schemes and technology in farming and free land for the people who are in need of it.
Not only that, he has built a statue of Jesus Christ for Christians, Temples and facilitated in Mosques. This made him a real leading person.
Even he has pooled in his own money in case of necessity to keep his ward well facilitated.
His dream of transforming Kanakapura into Kanakanagara is coming to reality. As it is has been selected as one of the satellite city among seven others.
His constant dedication towards this is really yielding fruit. Very soon we will witness Kanakapura turning into Kanakanagara.
